Washington State Opportunity Scholarship

WSOS is administered by College Success Foundation

The Washington State Opportunity Scholarship helps low- and middle-income Washington state residents earn degrees or certifications in the high-demand fields of science, technology, engineering, math and health care.

WSOS offers two scholarship programs for Washington state residents pursuing a credential towards a high-demand career in Washington state. Our Baccalaureate Scholarship is for Scholars pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a STEM or health care field. The Career and Technical Scholarship (CTS) is for Scholars pursuing a certificate, apprenticeship or associate degree in a high-demand trade, STEM or health care field such as welding, manufacturing or information technology. Our scholarship funds are flexible and can be used to cover tuition, fees and other costs of attendance such as housing, transportation, food and more.
The Baccalaureate Scholarship application opens each year in January.

The CTS application opens three times a year in May, September and January.
